Dont have mud tires, bring your stock tires. If you have a GPS bring it. Bring some swimming wear and hop in the lake! Cabins: http://www.pine-net.com/lastresort - They allow dogs.

Directions Where Highway 114 and Highway 377 meet, go north on 377. In less than one mile there is a small street on the right that you need to turn on. Follow that street until it dead ends into the park. There is an old man in the booth, but it is free to get in. It is closed on Sundays.

Comments This place WAS really cool. It is mainly a place for dirt bikes and ATVs. This place will be shut down. There are articles in the local paper about talks with the Core of Engineers to get it shut down. As of now they are now charging a fee to get in. They fenced off all beach access and made the place smaller. Not worth the drive from just about anywhere. Thanks again to the core of engineers for giving us less room to ride.

Name Red River Cycle Ranch - Bulcher, TX
Directions Take I-35 from Dallas or Ft. Worth towards Oklahoma, when you get to Gainsville exit on Hwy 82 west towards Muenster, when you reach Muenster you will come to the first red light in town, maybe the only red light, turn to the right and follow the road another 12 miles or so and you will see the Ranch by its green pipe fence, on the right hand side. Drive up a hundred feet or so and enter into the Ranch and then sign the sheet and pay your $5.00 and then you are ready to rock and roll.

Comments I did not particularly like this place. It seemed absolutely huge, but with ONLY one mud hole it is not for the mud people. There are tons of trails to ride on, but unfortunately the dirt bikers have rutted the trails out so bad that they are very difficult to four wheel on. There are some spots on the trials where the dirt bikers actually have to lift their legs up to clear the deep ruts. This place is a dirt bikers heaven and a quads hell.

Name Rocky Ridge - Sanger, TX
Directions From Dallas/Ft. Worth take 35E or 35W north trough Denton. Exit HY 35, at Sanger, exit #478. Turn left on to FM 455. Stay on FM 455 until you come to FM 51. Turn right on FM 51 Go 2- 3 miles, the riding area is on the left. There is a sign for the Ranch by the road, and you can see motorcycle tracks coming out of a gravel pit down by the road.

Name Spring Creek - Houston, TX
Directions The easiest way to get there is to take I-45 (either north or south) to cypresswood drive in Spring Texas. Go east on Cypresswood drive for about 3-4 miles. On the left side of the road will be a school next to a large drainage ditch. Immediately after passing the large ditch begin to look on your left for several clearings into the woods. On Sundays these parking areas begin to fill quickly so you may have to squeeze in somewhere further down the road. A friendly warning do not ride on or in the drainage ditch. These are state property and occasionally there will be a local sheriff in a jeep writing citations to those who dont practice common land useage sense. There are miles and miles of trails. One of the main ones will lead you down to "School Beach". From here you can travel either up stream or down stream for 8-9 miles either way. On the creek bank there are numerous side trails and you can easily put in a 30 mile ride on any given day. You may want to cross the water cautsiously in some places it can get quite deep depending upon rain. Even if it has rained look forward to a 20 mile round trip if you take the trails heading down stream.
